Daisy Kidd is the communications coordinator at Tactical Tech, a Berlin-based NGO that investigates the evolving impact of technology on society. After earning a degree in contemporary art history in 2014, she went to work for a non-profit publishing house with a humanitarian focus. After joining Tactical Tech in 2017, she began supporting the communication of their public education projects such as the Data Detox Kit and The Glass Room, which raise awareness of data and privacy. She is interested in the link between addressing a topic and giving people the tools to make sustainable changes.
Tactical Tech
Tactical Tech is a Berlin-based non-profit organisation at the intersection of technology, human rights and civil liberties. It provides trainings, conducts research and creates cultural interventions that contribute to the wider socio-political debate around digital security, privacy and the ethics of data. Its work has evolved since the organizsation's founding in 2003, but its core principle hasn't changed: Tactical Tech investigates how digital technologies change society and how they impact individual autonomy and agency. The findings are
used to devise practical solutions for an international audience of civil society actors and engaged citizens.
